Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN/SEMH Teacher to join our new state-of-the-art specialist provision opening in Litherland, Sefton, in September 2026.
This full-time role is integral to our mission of providing an inclusive, nurturing, and stimulating environment where every learner can thrive and reach their full potential.
As part of our innovative approach to special education, you will contribute to creating a supportive atmosphere rooted in respect, understanding, and individualised learning. The position is initially offered on a temporary basis with the potential to become permanent, supporting the growth of our third site alongside our existing successful schools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, personalised teaching to students with special educational needs and SEMH challenges, ensuring their individualised education plans are effectively implemented.
- Develop and adapt curriculum content to meet the diverse needs of pupils, fostering their social, emotional, and academic development in line with the school's ethos of inclusivity and holistic support.
- Support students on a 1:1 basis or in small groups, providing tailored strategies to promote positive behaviour, engagement, and independence.
- Collaborate closely with the school's leadership team, teaching assistants, and external professionals to plan and evaluate pupil progress and optimise learning outcomes.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress, behaviour, and provision, ensuring compliance with safeguarding and statutory requirements.
- Contribute to creating a safe, welcoming, and respectful classroom environment that reflects the school's values of kindness, respect, and resilience.
- Participate in team meetings, professional development, and planning sessions to continually enhance teaching practices and support the school's commitment to excellence in special education.
