Key Responsibilities:
- Provide dedicated 1:1 support to pupils with EHCPs, ensuring their individual needs are met in accordance with their personalised education plans.
- Assist the class teacher in delivering planned lessons and activities, adapting resources and approaches to suit the specific requirements of pupils with SEND.
- Support the social, emotional, and behavioural development of pupils, fostering a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
- Monitor and record pupils’ progress, behaviour, and well-being, reporting any concerns to the appropriate staff.
- Support pupils with their daily routines, including personal care, mobility, and organisational tasks, promoting independence and confidence.
- Implement behaviour management strategies in line with school policies to create a safe and respectful learning environment.
- Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and other support staff to ensure the individualised needs of pupils are effectively addressed.
- Contribute to the planning and organisation of activities that support pupils’ developmental goals, ensuring activities are accessible and meaningful.
- Uphold the school's ethos of respect, inclusivity, and empowerment, maintaining high standards of professionalism and safeguarding at all times.
