This requires the practitioner, who will receive training, to monitor the pupils insulin levels on her digital device. They will additionally be required to administer insulin using the digital device, record the insulin administered and at times may have to complete a finger prick analysis of blood sugar levels and ketones. This pupil can at times struggle with emotional dysregulation, which are impacted by her insulin levels. The adult will need to keep the insulin monitoring device within 6 meters of the pupil. Pupil 2: This second pupil is on the SEND register for communication & Interaction needs. She is non-verbal and likes to climb. She can be physical with other pupils and adults when she is struggling to communicate. Key Responsibilities: - Provide 1:1 support for a pupil with SEN, adapting learning activities to suit individual needs - Assist in the development and delivery of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) - Support the pupil’s social and emotional development, promoting positive behaviour - Work collaboratively with the class teacher, SENCO, and external professionals - Monitor and record progress, providing feedback to staff and parents - Help create an inclusive and safe classroom environment The Ideal Candidate Will Have: - Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or Learning Support Assistant, ideally in a 1:1 SEN role - A strong understanding of SEN and strategies to support learners with additional needs - Knowledge and/or experience with conditions such as ASC, ADHD, SEMH, or speech and language difficulties - Excellent communication skills and a calm, patient, and empathetic approach - A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children - Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3, Teaching Assistant Certificate) are desirable but not essential
