Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Primary Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant primary school community in Surrey. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualised support to pupils, particularly within KS1 and EYFS, to meet their specific educational, social, and emotional needs.
- Assist teachers in planning, preparing, and delivering engaging activities that promote developmental progress and inclusive learning.
- Support pupils with their physical needs, including mobility, personal care, and ensuring their well-being throughout the school day.
- Foster a positive, respectful classroom environment that encourages independence, confidence, and curiosity.
- Support the implementation of personalised learning programmes and behaviour management strategies in line with school policies.
- Contribute to the assessment and monitoring of pupil progress, recording observations and sharing insights with teaching staff.
- Promote pupils’ social skills and emotional development through positive interactions and encouragement.
- Support the inclusion of pupils with additional needs, adapting approaches as directed by the class teacher or SENCO.
- Assist with classroom organisation, resources, and maintaining a safe, clean learning environment.
- Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and contribute to the ongoing development of the school community.
Additional Duties:
- Take an active role in supporting the physical needs of pupils, including their mobility and personal care requirements.
- Support school initiatives and extra-curricular activities as required.
- Uphold the school’s ethos of respect, inclusion, and individualised learning to help every child thrive.
- Engage in professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills in supporting primary-aged learners.
