Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored support to pupils with special educational needs (SEN), either on a 1:1 basis, in small groups, or within the whole class setting, ensuring individualised approaches that align with the school's ethos of inclusive education.
- Assist the class teacher in delivering differentiated learning activities and resources that meet diverse pupil needs, supporting our commitment to personalised learning.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment that promotes pupil engagement, independence, and confidence.
- Support the emotional, social, and behavioural development of pupils by implementing strategies in line with school policies, contributing to a safe and respectful school community.
- Monitor, assess, and record pupil progress, providing constructive feedback to teachers and the SENCO to inform planning and intervention.
- Collaborate effectively with staff, parents, and external professionals to ensure consistent and comprehensive support for pupils’ development and well-being.
- Assist with classroom organisation, including preparing resources, managing learning spaces, and maintaining a positive classroom climate conducive to learning.
- Promote and safeguard the welfare of children in accordance with school safeguarding policies, ensuring a secure environment for all pupils.
