Key Responsibilities:
- Support the classroom teacher in delivering personalised learning programmes that meet the individual needs of pupils, including those with SEN.
- Provide 1:1 support to pupils with SEN, assisting with their specialised learning plans and behaviour management strategies.
- Assist in the preparation of learning materials and resources aligned with the school's inclusive approach to education.
- Support the social and emotional development of pupils by fostering a positive and respectful classroom environment.
- Monitor, record, and report on pupils’ progress, behaviour, and wellbeing, ensuring effective communication with teachers, parents, and external specialists.
- Support pupils during classroom activities, outdoor play, and lunchtimes, promoting independence and confidence.
- Promote the school’s ethos of respect, kindness, and curiosity, contributing to the overall positive atmosphere of the school community.
- Uphold safeguarding policies and procedures to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all pupils at all times.
- Assist with the organisation and supervision of learning activities and outings, maintaining a focus on inclusive participation.
