General cover office admin

Role: Administrative Assistant Full time 8.15-4.00 Handover from 24th March. One week shadowing. The role starts after Easter Holidays General Duties Provide general admin support to ensure the school delivers effective and efficient services. Provide routine clerical support e.g. photocopying, filing, faxing, emailing, completion of routine forms, registers, school meals etc. Undertake typing, word-processing and other IT based tasks including use of excel Maintain manual and computerised records/management information systems including Arbor/MIS. Welcome visitors onto and into school premises Act as front of house and communicate with pupils, staff, parents and visitors appropriately including reception duties, answering routine telephone and face to face enquiries and signing in visitors. Ensure safeguarding and security protocols are communicated and understood by all visitors. Ensure the office area is tidy and welcoming. Assist with maintaining general order in the school, e.g. clearing lost property, organising preloved uniform or donated goods Qualifications and Experience Two or more GCSEs at grades A-C or equivalent, including English and Maths. Experience of building positive relationships with people at all levels within a school. Experience of building establishing fair, respectful, trusting, supportive and constructive relationships with pupils from EYFS to Y6. Experience of using ICT for communication and records management systems effectively. Experience of working in an administrative role. Able to handle confidential information and with sensitivity.
