You will be working with a boy who is14 years old but working at a developmental level of 6-12 months. Their day consists of three main sensory experiences which regulate him; sensory play in the shower, painting in the sensory room, and time on the swings in the sensory integration room. The student enjoys interacting with adults by having them sing to him, and crushing up cereal/pasta for him which he likes to watch. They have an infectious smile and is beginning to initiate interactions with staff who are familiar to him. The student can engage in behaviour that harms himself or staff, such as hitting his head or slapping staff.
